The day

The beach on every list, without the ferry line

Culebra's Flamenco Beach shows up on every ranking of the world's best beaches, and it earns it: a mile-plus horseshoe of powder sand and electric blue water with no high-rises in sight. Getting there is the hard part. Ferry lines, rental cars, timing. That is where we come in.

Aboard our 46-footer you will cross to Culebra's protected waters, snorkel reef gardens and swim off uninhabited cays where sea turtles nest. Weather permitting, the day includes the stop everyone books it for: Flamenco Beach itself. Light lunch, snacks, rum and soft drinks are on us all day, and the boat has room to actually stretch out.

Questions

Culebra Excursion & Flamenco Beach: FAQ

Do we really stop at Flamenco Beach?+
Yes, weather permitting. Flamenco is a scheduled stop and the highlight of the day. On the occasional day when conditions make it unsafe, the captain reroutes to another protected Culebra beach.
Why take a boat instead of the Culebra ferry?+
The ferry gets you to the island. Our boat gets you to the water: reef gardens and cays you cannot reach from shore, plus Flamenco itself, with lunch, drinks and gear handled. Read the full boat vs ferry comparison.
Will we see sea turtles?+
The cays we visit include turtle nesting beaches, and sightings in the surrounding water are frequent. They are wild animals, so honest answer: likely, never guaranteed.
What kind of boat is it?+
A 46-foot vessel with room to spread out, which makes the crossing comfortable even for guests who worry about boat rides.
Who can join?+
Guests 5 and older. For safety reasons, pregnant guests are not permitted on this excursion.
Are vegetarian or vegan meals available?+
Yes, for an additional charge. Let us know when you book so the crew can have your meal ready.
